This picture shows another laser welded bead. Notice that the bead is only .020" wide. Because this bead was produced via laser, it produced virtually zero sink and a very low heat affected zone.

This picture shows engraved numerals welded via laser. Only the minimal amount of weld was applied which kept heat input at a minimum.
