This picture shows a pad
feature made out of weld. Notice the rhythmic pattern of the weld. This represents a weld process which is controlled and
consistent. Beware of a weld which appears "smooth" when you get it back. That usually represents a weld which has
been "wet out" or re-liquified after the material was applied. It looks good, but it's metallurgically damaging
and can dramatically reduce the wearability and longevity of the applied weld.
